A young woman walking with a dog on Hwy 12 near the bypass was nearly struck by a vehicle causing a wreck just after 7:30 Wednesday morning.
EMS, Attala County Fire Department, MHP and Attala County Deputies responded to the crash.
The person who had been walking along the highway and one of those involved in the crash were checked out by medical personnel on scene, and no injuries were reported.
