Second-year students in the Construction, Automotive, and Welding programs at the Kosciusko-Attala Career and Technical Center recently toured the Red Hills Coal Mine near Ackerman.
During the visit, students gained firsthand insight into careers related to environmental science, land management, mining, and operations.
Representatives from the mine shared information about job opportunities, safety practices, and the role of technology in modern mining.
