The Attala County School District recently celebrated excellence across the district during its 2026 Award Ceremony, recognizing outstanding teachers, support staff, parents, and administrators for their dedication and service to local schools.
District leaders praised the honorees for their commitment to students and the positive impact they make each day throughout the school system.
“We appreciate the dedication, leadership, and commitment shown by each honoree in making a positive impact on our schools and students every day,” the district said in a statement following the ceremony.
Awards were presented in several categories, including Parent of the Year, Support Staff of the Year, Teacher of the Year, and Administrator of the Year.
Parent of the Year Honorees
- Macie Morgan – Greenlee Elementary
- Melodie Ward – Ethel High School
- Carla Weatherall – McAdams High School
- Erin Hall – Long Creek Elementary
Support Staff of the Year Honorees
- Kim Bradberry – Ethel High School
- Tracy Gilmore – McAdams High School
- Linda Washington – Long Creek Elementary
- Kimberly Baugh – Greenlee Elementary
Teacher of the Year Honorees
- Betty Bermond – Career and Technical Center
- Elizabeth Maness – McAdams High School
- Addie Burrell – Greenlee Elementary
- Monica Harmon – Ethel High School
- Donna Jolley – Long Creek Elementary
The district also announced its overall district-wide award winners.
Carla Weatherall was named District Parent of the Year, while Kimberly Baugh received District Support Staff of the Year honors.
Donna Jolley was selected as District Teacher of the Year, and Lorean Kilbert was recognized as District Administrator of the Year.
School officials thanked everyone who helped organize the event and congratulated all award recipients for their outstanding dedication, service, and commitment to excellence.
