Photos: Kosciusko Aldermen recognize state champion tennis player, team members

The City of Kosciusko honored local student-athletes during this week’s Board of Aldermen meeting, recognizing standout performances from the Kosciusko High School tennis team.

Mayor Tim Kyle said the city presented a resolution to Hayes Tyler, who recently won the 4A Boys Singles State Championship at the state tournament held in Vicksburg.

Several other team members who competed at the state level were also recognized, including Clara Tran in girls singles, Tanner Pettit and Mia Manjarrez in mixed doubles, Mary Margaret Moore and Samaya Henderson in girls doubles, and Grayson Kyle and Eddie Tran in boys doubles.

Mayor Kyle praised the team’s accomplishments, noting the success is part of a strong year overall for Kosciusko athletics.
