The Attala County Fire Department responded to what was reported as a woods fire on Attala Road 4140 at around 12:10 on Friday afternoon.
Firefighters arrived to find an old structure fully engulfed in flames and fire spreading into the surrounding woods.
Crews worked to contain the fire and prevent further spread. No injuries were reported.
It was later discovered that the structure was unoccupied and in the process of being demolished.
