Two Kosciusko Whippets will represent the Magnolia State on the gridiron this winter. Senior quarterback Caiden Wade and senior wide receiver Ladarrion “LD” McBride have both been selected to the Mississippi roster for the annual Mississippi/Alabama All-Star Game.
The showcase pits 40 of Mississippi’s top high school seniors against Alabama’s best. This year’s game is set for Saturday, Dec. 12, at Hancock Whitney Stadium in Mobile, Alabama.
Wade, a Southern Miss commit, earned his spot after putting up big numbers directing the Whippet offense. Through the first half of the season, he has completed 78 of 122 passes for 1,464 yards, 17 touchdowns, and just one interception, while adding 315 yards and nine scores on the ground.
McBride, who is committed to Kennesaw State, has been Wade’s go-to target on the outside. Through five games, the senior playmaker has caught 25 passes for 425 yards and five touchdowns, averaging 17 yards per catch.
Both players will head south to Mobile in early December to join Team Mississippi as they look to secure a win over Alabama.
