Unresponsive Driver Arrested for Meth Possession in Attala County

On Monday, June 23 around 3:00 p.m., Attala County deputies responded to a report of an unresponsive driver on Attala Road 2120.

Deputies Lucas Smith and Braxton Goza found the driver, identified as Michael Bell, slumped over the wheel of his vehicle. Deputies checked on Bell and suspected that he could be impaired.

K9 Colby alerted on the vehicle and a subsequent search led to the discovery of approximately 2.6 grams of suspected methamphetamine.

Michael Bell

Bell was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was booked into the Leake County Correctional Facility.
