Work has started on construction of the new Attala County fire station.
The new station will be located in Kosciusko at the intersection of S Huntington Street and Love Road, near the former Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints.
Not only will the new facility house the fire department, but it will also be home to the Emergency Management Operations Center and E-911 Telecommunications Center.
Work on the project is partially funded by $3,600,000.00 in money received from the State of Mississippi as part of House Bill 603 of the 2023 Legislative Session.
Work on the new station is being completed by Mike Rozier construction.
