The Town of McCool will be buzzing all day on Saturday, October 3 during the Yockanookany River Festival. Festivities are planned all day. The Festival starts at 9 am with craft vendors, a book mobile, kid zone, food trucks, live music, and church rummage sale.
New to the festival this year is a Tractor Pageant. Sign up and bring any and all size, color, working, nonworking tractors. Judging will take place and a 1st Place winner will be announced. Contact Danette Armstrong or Lilia Deason for more info.
The evening winds down with the Volunteer Firefighter Fish Fry starting at 4 pm. Dine in at the fire station, or take it home with you. Each plate contains fired fish, french fries, hushpuppies, cole slaw and a homemade dessert for $15. All proceeds from the fundraiser go directly toward supporting the volunteer fire department’s operating costs and emergency response equipment.
