Philadelphia Drug Bust: More People Wanted, More Arrests Expected

PHILADELPHIA, Miss.–Philadelphia Police Chief Eric Lyons teased that more people are likely to be arrested after a drug bust that was announced Thursday.

In a Facebook post from the department the exact words used are that “more arrests are expected”. The Facebook post indicated that more people are still wanted with the initial bust.

Seven people so far have been charged after an investigation that took about a year. The busts were made in conjunction with the Neshoba County Sheriff’s Office and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics.

The list of the initial arrestees includes:

Jonathan Goodin – sale of a controlled substance
Matthew Cain – possession of controlled substance
JL Hayes – sale of controlled substance
Timothy Lewis – sale of controlled substance
Shanna Renfro – sale of controlled substance
Daniel Puckett – conspiracy to distribute narcotics / Money laundering
Natasha Sanders – possession of a controlled substance
“The Philadelphia Police Department is steadfast in its commitment to combating the illegal drug trade and enhancing the safety of our communities. We extend our gratitude to all supporting agencies for their invaluable assistance with this investigation and for their ongoing partnership,” reads the post.
