Most of Mississippi remains under a heat advisory until 8 pm. Heat index readings between 105 and 110 degrees are forecast. Some severe storms are developing in the heat. Western Mississippi is under a Level-1 “marginal” risk for damaging winds through this evening. And a Level-1 risk has been posted areawide for Sunday.
