It’s the beginning of another heat wave in Mississippi this weekend. Temperatures will be climbing from the lower 90s today and tomorrow to the mid 90s by Saturday and into the upper 90s in some areas by the middle of next week. The National Weather Service says, in some locations, “significant” heat stress will be possible. In this area, the heat index could climb to around 105 in Kosciusko Saturday and up to 110 in Carthage, Philadelphia and Durant.
NWS says a few storms could creep back into the weather picture across parts of eastern Mississippi this weekend and again around the middle of next week.
