Law enforcement agencies across the state are mourning the death of a Claiborne County sheriff’s deputy who was killed in the line of duty early Monday as he was trying to disperse a crowd following a festival in Hermanville.  The Leake County sheriff’s office posted a message on Facebook saying that “law enforcement is one close family.  When a badge falls anywhere, we all feel the heavy weight of that loss.”  The Attala County sheriff’s department offered a prayer for Deputy Terrian Bailey asking that he never be forgotten.   And Governor Reeves has posted that those responsible for Bailey’s death will be brought to justice.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information that helps investigators track down the killer.
