SALLIS, Miss.–Attala County deputies were sent to the area of Longhorn Steakhouse Friday night when someone called in about a donkey they had seen near Hwy. 14 and Hwy. 429.
On his initial pass the deputy did not see the donkey.
Just after 9 p.m. several calls came in about loose donkeys. The deputy returned to the area and found several donkeys running loose. At least one had run into a field near the highway.
The deputy stayed around to provide traffic control while the donkeys were rounded up.
The owners worked on that task for at least an hour.
