RJ Adams has resigned as Chief of Police for the Kosciusko Police Department.
The board of aldermen accepted Adams’ resignation during Tuesday night’s meeting.
Adams was appointed an interim chief in June 2022 following the resignation of previous Chief Chris Wray.
In July of that year, he was promoted to the position full time.
This was Adams’ second stint as Chief of Police.
He previously served in that position for the city for 13 years before retiring in December of 2015. Prior to being hired back as chief, he worked occasionally with department on part-time basis.
Adams resignation will be effective May 31.
