The Kosciusko Municipal Court is warning residents after receiving reports of spam phone calls in which the court’s phone number appeared as the caller ID.
At this time, officials say individuals have reported only missed calls appearing to come from the court. Court clerks are reminding the public to remain cautious and never provide personal information or make payments over the phone.
As a reminder, the Kosciusko Municipal Court and other law enforcement-related agencies will never request payment over the phone.
If you get a suspicious call claiming to be from the court system and are unsure of its legitimacy, you are encouraged to hang up immediately and contact the Kosciusko Municipal Court directly to verify the call.
