Mississippi Blood Services is bringing a lifesaving mobile blood drive to Kosciusko today (Thursday) at Citizens National Bank from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Mississippi Blood Services notes that local hospital patients rely on volunteer donors, as a single donation can help save up to three lives.
As part of the “Race to Save Lives” Back-to-School Giveaway, anyone who donates blood at a participating mobile drive between Aug. 1 and Aug. 31 will automatically be entered for a chance to win one of two $500 Visa gift cards. Presenting donors will also receive a thank-you gift at the time of donation.
Donors are asked to bring a photo ID, eat a healthy meal, and stay hydrated prior to donating.
