Update:
Attala County Fire Chief, Tim Cox has confirmed that people were inside when fire began. Everyone was able to exit the home safely and no one was injured. The cause is currently undetermined. The home is a total loss.
Attala County Fire Department and Ethel Volunteers were dispatched to a residence on Business 12 in Ethel near Dollar General at 10:56 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 26, 2024.
Firefighters noted that the home was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived on scene. No one was believed to be inside the residence when the fire started.
