The Kosciusko Whippets football team traveled to Florence to play the Eagles Friday night.
The Whippets scored the first two touchdowns on their first two possessions. Adding a safety, the first quarter was 15-0, Kosciusko. The home team added a field goal at the beginning of the second quarter. Continuing their domination, Kosciusko led 25-0 at the half.
Florence opened the third quarter with a touchdown, 25-6. But the Whippets held on for the win, 46-16.
CJ Sandifer was named the Autumn Ridge Player of the Game. Now, that’s something to smile about!
Next week, the home team hosts the Hernando Tigers. Be sure to join us then on Breezy 103, breezynews.com, the Breezy 103 app, or on YouTube on Boswell Media Sports Breezy 103 channel.
