Burn bans shown in red as of 10-21-26
Every county in this area is now under a burn ban. Choctaw County is the most recent to outlaw outdoor burning, effective today. Statewide, a total of 48 burn bans have been posted as our dry weather is forecast to continue at least until late next week. Also helping to promote wildfires, the low humidity. But the National Weather Service says, for the time being, winds should remain light, preventing the wildfire danger from being even worse.
