Police Chief Suspended in Lexington, Former Chief Appointed Interim

SHARE NOW

LEXINGTON, Miss.–Lexington now has an interim police chief.

Former police chief Robert Kirklin is serving as the chief for now because current chief Charles Henderson’s certification has been suspended and is under review, reports WLBT.

That has to do with accusations against the department of discrimination against Black citizens that have been made for the past several years, leading to an investigation in 2024 by the US Dept of Justice.
