Around 10:00 AM, an officer attempted to pull over a driver with a stolen license plate, but the subject fled, leading to a chase. During the chase, he apparently made attempts at running officers off the road. According to scanner traffic, he ultimately crashed on Hwy 35 near the Super 8 Motel where he was taken into custody at about 10:09 AM. Authorities later learned there was a warrant out for his arrest.
