The residents of the Martha Jo Leslie Veterans Home were treated to a Christmas party today. The staff of the home decked the halls with Christmas cheer.

Some members of the Rotary Club and the Lions Club jumped in to help with the event too. The Rotary Club served lunch, and the Lions Club sang Christmas Carols and gave out blankets.

Santa Claus even made an appearance, decked out in red, white, and blue to honor those who served our country. He passed out candy, took pictures, and talked with the veterans, all to brighten their day.

The veterans home staff split the event in two, so half of the veterans had their party today. The other half will have their own party on Thursday, December 16. If today’s was anything to go by, they have something great to look forward to!
