McADAMS, Miss.–Shortly after 4 Saturday morning an Attala County deputy was notified by dispatchers that a tree had fallen across both lanes of traffic on Hwy. 12 near McAdams.
Upon arriving the deputy notified dispatch in return that a car had already hit the tree.
The highway patrol was called and the deputy also reported that the tree was large, with some large equipment likely needed to get it removed.
The Mississippi Dept. of Transportation was also notifed.
The people in the car who hit the tree did not report any injuries.
Other Trees
That was one of several trees reported downed early Saturday morning. One was reported down on Hwy. 14 east.
Another was reported on Hwy. 19 north between West and Possumneck.
Both the highway patrol and MDOT responded to those scenes. A deputy was able to move the one on Hwy. 14 out of the road.
