AT&T has been experiencing a nationwide mobile outage since around 3:30 am.
The outage is affecting cell phone signal to customers, with many reports that phones on the AT&T network are displaying “SOS Only,”
Shannon Mitchell with Attala County E-911 told Breezy News that the outage could impact AT&T customer’s ability to dial 911 or other emergency services.
Mitchell said that if customers with AT&T are having issues dialing 911, they should use a landline phone or a cell phone on the C-Spire network.
There has been no official statement from AT&T on the cause of the outage or when it will be fixed, however some AT&T customers in the local area are reporting that service is back working for them.
