Choctaw County Chase Ends in Attala County


KOSCIUSKO, Miss.–A chase from Choctaw County ended just after midnight Saturday on Hwy. 12 in Attala County. Deputies from Attala County helped those deputies from Choctaw once the stop was made.

At first Choctaw deputies could not get the person they were chasing to stop.

Shortly after entering the county the person stopped. But, Attala deputies still went to assist in the stop.

Choctaw deputies requested a K-9 unit. It was unclear from police radio communication whether Attala deputies were able to accommodate that request.

It wasn’t clear from police radio traffic why the person was being chased.

After an hour on scene, Attala County deputies were done assisting and went back in service.

    These chases are becoming too often. Chases put people in danger especially when they continue through town. innocent people are usually the ones that get hurt or killed and the criminals usually just get a slap on the wrist and are out of jail in no time!!!

    So are the law enforcement to just let these criminals keep getting away with everything and Not chase them?! Yes an accident could happen But if the Law enforcement has their proper lights and sirens going then You as a Driver of a vehicle are Suppose to know how to Move over or stop where you are at to let that vehicle/ vehicles have to use of the road. Give me a break people !!!
